This book was compiled because there was something unique and extraordinary about this region, Congo. This resource-rich region has been relentlessly plagued by conflict until now; I do not know when it will be ends. It was important to know not only ordinary readers but more specifically for philatelists around the world. Thus, this book was written, encompassing topics related to demography, socio-politics, art-culture, flora and wildlife, and philately. Fundamentally, “Garuda Indonesia Contingent-The Postal Services in The Land of Conflict” was a first book and its the preceding book’s companion and deepener. The goal of authoring this book was to hopefully provide the reader more understanding, and there were a lot of additions from both the philatelic and non-philatelic sides.
