The Third Box: Tradition, Identity, and the Refugee Journey to Australia

Rp50.000

Deskripsi

The refugee journey does not begin with the word refugee. It begins with a person. Biography comes before category. Forced displacement does not simply relocate people between two geographical locations. It can disrupt relationships between identity, place, family, language, social position, and anticipated future. Settlement therefore involves more than physical arrival or institutional access. Arrival is an event. Settlement is a process. Belonging is a relationship. This book develops the Kafi Third Box Framework as a practice- oriented model of critical reconstruction. It places lived experience in dialogue with scholarship on acculturation, integration, cultural hybridity, trauma, family adaptation, racism, and belonging while distinguishing personal testimony from broader empirical claims. The framework does not claim to invent hybridity, acculturation, or intercultural negotiation. Its proposed contribution lies in bringing cultural inheritance, forced rupture, exile, institutional encounter, family transformation, structural conditions, critical negotiation, belonging, and recognition into one refugee- and family-centered model.
